Felt Brooch Project

Felt Brooch Project

In Issue 2 the friends behind Stuffed Nonsense talk monster swaps, Dust Bunnies and breaking the rules.

Full to the brim with plush monsters, embroidered delights and jewellery created by Bex and El, and various other crafters, Stuffed Nonsense is an eclectic and random haven of handmade wonder.

How did you get started?
It all began with a monster swap. I made El a white polar bear called Frances and she made me a sock monster called Poxy. We enjoyed it so much we set up an online folksy shop selling our work. We then had a fantastic opportunity to open our own shop. El has a degree in graphic design and I have one in English lit and history (probably not what you’d expect) but I guess our main qualification is a huge passion and respect for anything handmade. We have two main aims: a) to help our sellers make the move from sewing for friends to making as a small business and b) to make handmade wonders readily available to the general public....
