Recycling Fabrics

The exciting course will give you the skills and opportunity to customise or make your own simple clothes, accessories or household pieces. Each week you will learn new techniques such as applique, fabric manipulation, creative patchwork, hand and machine stitch and have the skills to work on your own projects with guidance from tutor Julie Roberts. The emphasis is on using old fabrics and clothes and giving them a new lease of life, so dig out those unworn bits from the back of the wardrobe and bring them along. Suitable for all.

This 10 week course will begin on 26th April (excluding bank holiday and half term), with a class at either 5.30-7.30pm or 7.45- 9.45pm £100 (full fee), £91 (over 60), £65 (benefits)

Skirt in a day

Be the envy of your friends and make a simple unique skirt in this day workshop. We will construct a basic wrap skirt and personalise it using various textile techniques such as applique, embroidery and fabric manipulation. Bring along your own fabrics and make a fantastic addition to your wardrobe. Suitable for all.

Saturday 19th June 10-4 £27.35 (full fee), £25.00 (over 60), £18.00 (benefits)

Recycling Fabrics - Accessories

Use old fabrics and clothes and turn them into sparkling new accessories. In this day class you will learn fabric manipulation along with various other textile and embellishment techniques. By the end of the day you will have a variety of accessories to compliment any outfits and have the skills to keep making more. Suitable for all.
