Visit a Discover Vintage Fair and see some of the many useful and decorative items on sale; even toys, furniture, glass, pottery and jewelery comes under the “Vintage” heading. Vintage items are not necessarily Antique and will have probably have been used on a daily basis in their original decade.
Leeds based Keeley Harris Director Discover Vintage says “In basic terms “Vintage” is classic styles and design of items such as ceramics, fabrics, clothing and kitchen ware. Vintage is anything that brings back an air of nostalgia from 1900-1970’s”
So why is Vintage so in vogue?
Keeley goes on to explain “I believe that vintage is so popular because at the moment people can’t afford to be so lavish with items for their homes and the clothes they wear. Vintage is a good alternative as you are buying top quality, well made items from the past at great prices”
